Special meeting, work session set
Lansing City Council will meet in executive session during a special meeting that has been called.
The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. today, Oct. 26, in City Hall, 800 First Terrace, and will take place prior to a council work session set for 7 p.m.
Mike Smith, city administrator, said council members would be briefed in executive session about an unspecified real estate matter. No vote can be taken in an executive session.
The work session, which is open to the public, will be a discussion of the city's fence ordinance.
The topic was requested recently by Council member Andi Pawlowski, who had suggested the city change its ordinance rather than continue to approve requests for noncompliance.
