Alzheimer’s specialist to speak
Kelly Loeb, an outreach coordinator with the Heart of America Alzheimer's Association, will make a special presentation next week at the Leavenworth County Council on Aging.
Loeb will speak about Alzheimer's disease from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25, at the council offices, 109A Delaware St., Leavenworth.
She will discuss the behaviors of people with Alzheimer's and how caregivers can make life easier for those involved in the day-to-day care of a loved one. This event is appropriate for loved ones, professionals, nurses, nursing home staff and anyone interested in this disease and the effects it has on the brain.
