Wreck kills Lansing woman
Lee Ann Orndorff, 41, of Lansing, died in a traffic accident Friday night in Leavenworth.
Leavenworth Police Maj. Patrick Kitchens said the accident was being investigated. He said a 40-year-old female was driving a Ford Exhibition northbound on Shrine Park Road, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car, causing it to veer into Orndorff's vehicle.
Orndorff worked at Studdard Moving and Storage, which was owned by her parents, Charles and Henria Campbell.
Loraine Rogers worked with Orndorff at Studdard's for 27 years. She said Orndorff was a fine and caring woman who couldn't say a bad word about anyone.
In addition to her parents, Orndorff's survivors include a daughter, Amanda, two stepchildren, Alexis and Dallas; two brothers, Charles and John; and a sister, Sarah Campbell.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today, April 26, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 209 N. Seventh St., Leavenworth.
