Lansing City Council agenda for Dec. 6
A city policy for creating benefit districts is up for consideration at tonight's City Council meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 800 First Terrace.
Benefit district financing captures annual assessments on property owners in a given area and allows those funds to pay for infrastructure improvements in the district.
The proposed policy describes assessment methods, requires compliance with the city's technical specifications and stipulates the city's conditions for special assessment financing of public improvements in benefit districts.
Here's tonight's agenda:
¢ Present annual merit pay awards to City employees
¢ Update on the Main Street Enhancement Project
¢ Consider reappointing Joe Herring, Dale Bohannon, Brian Kroll and Julie Hawkins to the Lansing Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
¢ Consider reappointing Dave Freeman and Kevin Gardner to the Lansing Tree Board
¢ Consider approving a cereal malt beverage license for Charles R. Wood Oil Company, Inc.
¢ Consider approving a cereal malt beverage license for WKRP Management, LLC Pizza Hut
¢ Consider updating the fine schedule for the Lansing Municipal Court
¢ Consider approving by-laws for the Kansas Regional Prisons Museum, Inc.
