Voting nears end on eight wonders
Kansans have less than a week to vote for their state's eight wonders.
Monday is the deadline for the 8 Wonders of Kansas, a project by the Kansas Sampler Foundation. More than 20,000 people have voted online by going to 8wonders.org or by calling (620) 585-2374 and requesting a paper ballot.
Constitution Hall in Lecompton is among the sites on the list. Voting began in June.
The project was designed to help educate the public about Kansas and to encourage travel in the state.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will announce the final eight during a 10 a.m. ceremony on Kansas Day, Jan. 29, at the state capitol.
