Pawlowski, Anaya to square off in general election
Andi Pawlowski and David Anaya have a date in April.
Pawlowski, the incumbent Ward 2 Lansing City Council member, pulled down 119 votes to claim first place in Tuesday's primary election. Barring any changes during a canvass of votes on Friday, Pawlowski will face challenger David Anaya, who received 44 votes Tuesday, in the April 3 general election.
Eliminated from the race was Mike Howell, commander of the Lansing Veterans of Foreign Wars, who received 31 votes.
The Ward 2 race was the sole primary for Lansing voters on Tuesday. In April, voters Lansing will go to the polls to elect representatives to the council and four members of the Lansing School Board.
