ROTC scholarship awarded to Flynn

Sean M. Flynn has received an Army ROTC four-year college scholarship.

Acceptance of the scholarship signifies the cadet's desire to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army after graduating from the university and completing the ROTC program. ROTC cadets receive military leadership training to serve with distinction as an officer in the Army, both in and out of uniform.

Flynn is a freshman at South Dakota State University, in Brookings, S.D., majoring in history. He also is on the wrestling team at SDSU.

He is the son of Michael and Paula Flynn, of Lansing.

He is a 2006 Lansing High School graduate.
