Leavenworth County Commission Agenda, May 14-18

— Here's the Leavenworth County Commission agenda for the week of May 14-18. Commission meetings are in the second-floor meeting room at the Leavenworth County Courthouse, 300 Walnut St., Leavenworth.


Commissioner Dean Oroke with attend a human resources seminar in Salina

9 a.m., Public comment / administrative business

10:30 a.m., Public Hearing: Mike Spickelmier, deputy county engineer, will discuss the KDOT 5 Year Plan

1 p.m., Commissioner Clyde Graeber will attend a Health Department meeting for CDC review


1 p.m., Commissioners Oroke and J.C. Tellefson will attend a Lawrence/Douglas County transportation planning meeting in Olathe hosted by MARC


10 a.m., Dan Rowe, Treanor Architects, will give an update on the Old Jail Project

2 p.m., Commissioner Oroke will attend a meeting with Don Pruitt, Hurst, Terrill, and Karst, Architectural Firm, regarding a new EMS Facility on 16th & Metropolitan

6 p.m., Commissioners will attend the 21st Annual Memorial and Awards Ceremony of the Leavenworth County Peace Officers' Memorial


9 a.m., Public comment / administrative business

10:30 a.m., Leslie Glasgow, Seminole Energy, will discuss the current gas contract.

11 a.m., Linda Lobb, Council on Aging, will discuss a proposal for a Homemaker Program

1 p.m., Contract Renewal Chris Dunn, Planning & Zoning Director

1:30 p.m., Vicky Kaaz will discuss volunteers

2:30 p.m., Commissioner Oroke will attend a Strategic Planning meeting at LCDC

All such other business that may come before the commission. All meetings are open to the public.
