Main Street lanes shifting
Main Street traffic patterns are about to shift again as work progresses on the $15.3 million road construction project.
Ken Miller, the city's Main Street project liaison, said weather permitting on Thursday, June 7, traffic would be switched from Main Street's southbound lanes to the northbound lanes north of 7-Mile Creek Bridge and Ida Street.
The shift is designed to allow construction crews to begin work on road widening, driveways and sidewalks on the west side of Main.
On Wednesday, June 6, weather permitting, traffic will move in one lane each direction on Main Street's outer lanes. Once the new temporary lanes are marked, traffic will move in one lane each direction on northbound lanes.
