May 31, 2007

Ashley Reider, a Kansas State sophomore and Lansing High graduate, qualified for the NCAA Track and Field Championships on Friday when she registered a career-best javelin throw of 165-0 at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.

Reider's throw was the third-longest in Kansas State history. She is the first K-State female javelin thrower to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Kendra Wecker in 2002.
