Hope Gillett

Graveside services for Hope Gillett, 76, Leavenworth, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark.

Mrs. Gillett died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Medicalodge of Leavenworth.

She was born May 18, 1931, in Mauldin, Ark., the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Moseley) Williams.

Mrs. Gillett was a member of Byington Chapter No 177 Order of the Eastern Star and the Jaywalkers Volksmarching Club.

She lived in Trona, Calif., for more than 15 years before moving to Fort Smith. She later moved to Leavenworth.

She married Onace Long on Dec. 16, 1950; he survives. She later married Lee Roy Gillett, who preceded her in death.

Other survivors include a daughter Janet Reichert, Lansing; a brother, Ben Williams, Bentonville Ark; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today, Nov. 6, with an Eastern Star Service at 6 p.m. at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Medicalodge or Odyssey Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, 4701 Tenth Ave., Leavenworth 66048.
