Organizations announce dinner, groundbreaking

The Basehor Veterans of Foreign Wars will be playing host to a free Thanksgiving dinner for anyone age 60 or older from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Bob Wiley Memorial VFW Post 11499, 2806 N. 155th St. Guests who bring in a friend or family member that is older than 60 may also eat free.

Benchmark Management has announced plans for a groundbreaking ceremony for the Wolf Creek Marketplace grocery store at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17. The site is northeast of the U.S. Highway 24-40 and 155th Street intersection in the Wolf Creek Junction development. The public is welcome to attend. Coffee and doughnuts will be served.
