Parks and Rec football report

The Lansing Parks and Recreation football teams were back in action on Saturday, Oct. 6.

In the third- and fourth-grade division the Lansing Red Raiders defeated Effingham, 14-0. Meanwhile, the Lansing Great Whites edged the Lansing Black Jaguars in a defensive battle, 8-0.

Currently the Red Raiders, coached by Sean Sachen, and the Great Whites, coached by Bernd Ingram, are 3-1. The Black Jaguars, coached by Brooks Jenkins, are 1-3.

In the fifth- and sixth-grade division Geiger handed the Lansing Black Lions a 22-14 defeat. Meanwhile, the Lansing White Stallions routed Great Western, 26-0. The Stallions, coached by Blaine Domann, improved to 4-1. The Black Lions, coached by Mike Smith, fell to 1-3. The Lansing Red Bulls, coached by Rick Schneider, had a bye week. They are the city's lone unbeaten team at 4-0.
