Jerry Edward Judy

Mass of Christian Burial for retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Jerry Edward Judy, 73, of Leavenworth, was Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lansing. Burial with military honors was in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Mr. Judy died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Lansing.

He was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Harrison County, Ky., the son of Charles Edmond and Vera E. (Maffett) Judy.

Mr. Judy was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church, Fort Leavenworth O.B'S, Leavenworth Noon Lions Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, H.A.B., Kansas Square Dance Association, M.O.A.A. and O.V.-1 Mohawk Association.

On Jan. 28, 1956, he married Marylyn Mulvanity. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Theresa Lynn "Teri" Myers and Catherine Ann "Cathy" Laugesen; two sons, Jack Thomas and Jerry Michael; a sister, Wanda Joyce Cooke; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to St. Francis de Sales Building Fund or donor's choice, sent in care of Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth 66048.
