Lansing grad picks up honors
Forty-two students, including Daniel Usera from Lansing, were initiated as members of the Ichabod Chapter of the National Senior Honor Society of Mortar Board at Washburn University.
Mortar Board Inc. is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for distinguished ability and achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
He also was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi national honor society.
Those elected to membership include juniors in the top 7.5 percent of their class and seniors in the top 10 percent of their class. Members also include outstanding graduate students, faculty, professional staff and several alumni.
In addition, Usera was elected a senator in the Washburn Student Government Association. His term of office will run one year from April 2007 to April 2008.
Usera also made it onto the Washburn University Dean's Honor Roll for the spring 2007 semester.
