Lansing residents to participate in Mulvane Mountain/Plains Art Fair
Lansing residents Brad and Liz Egger will participate in the 16th annual Mulvane Mountain/Plains Art Fair will be Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, at Washburn University in Topeka. The event will be on the east side of the campus near Whiting Field House, 18th Street and Washburn.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8.
Tickets are $6 at the gate; children 12 and younger are free. Coupons for $1 off on tickets can be downloaded at http://www.cjonline.com or http://www.washburn.edu/mulvane.
Ninety-two artists from across the country will display paintings, drawings, prints, photography, jewelry and work in fiber, glass, wood, bronze, steel, ceramics and textiles. The fair will also feature continuous entertainment, hands-on projects for children and a food and beverage court.

A free shuttle will run both days to ferry patrons to and from the art fair and the Coleman Hawkins Legacy Jazz Festival on the grounds of the Kansas Expocentre. The shuttle hours will be noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The fair is the annual fundraising event of the Mulvane Art Museum and is hosted by the Friends of the Mulvane Art Museum. Major sponsors include Washburn University, The Topeka Capital Journal, Kansas Secured Title, Bartlett & West Engineers Inc., Security Benefit Group of Companies, Capitol Federal Savings and Jones Huyett Partners. Entertainment is sponsored by Capital City Bank.
