Tonganoxie City Fire Department

¢ At 1:55 a.m. July 29, firefighters checked a subject for the police department.

¢ At 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, firefighters responded to Fourth Street and U.S. Highway 24-40 to remove two large hay bales from the road.

¢ Firefighters responded with Leavenworth County Emergency Medical Service at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

Tonganoxie City Fire Department

¢ Around 7 p.m. Sunday, a 29-year-old Olathe man was fined for driving while suspended. Officers stopped at a vehicle they believed was abandoned. The vehicle began to roll away when officers stopped it for being parked in a roadway. Officers discovered the driver was driving while suspended and was driving with vehicle tags from the vehicle's previous owner. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office

¢ Sometime between 3 p.m. July 29 and 7 a.m. July 30, an unknown number of subjects stole construction equipment from Midwest Construction Inc., around the 17900 block of Tonganoxie Drive. The construction company is working on the bridge on Tonganoxie Dr. Among the items stolen were a generator, a DeWalt corded circular saw and a Black and Decker half-inch heavy-duty drill. The items were taken from a storage trailer. The loss was estimated at $1,710.

¢ Two people were injured in an attempt to avoid a collision around 8:30 a.m. July 30, at Kansas Highway 32 and 222nd Street. Adam Hardinger, 27, Lake Winnebago, Mo., was heading north on 222nd Street when he stopped at the intersection. He proceeded through the intersection as Nora Lowe, 73, Bonner Springs, was approaching. Lowe was driving with Freida Howerton, 84, Bonner Springs. Lowe swerved to avoid the collision and came to rest in a ditch. The two women were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for various non-life threatening injuries.

¢ Sometime between July 28 and July 30, an unknown number of subjects stole an Orange Briggs and Stratton Sickle Bar Mower from a 51-year-old McLouth man. The mower was in the man's yard in the 24700 block of Garrett Rd. The loss was estimated at $400.

¢ Around 11 p.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a house party in the 15500 block of Bradford Court, where there were underage drinkers. A 17-year-old Tonganoxie teen was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center without incident.
