Agriculture group to sponsor nights catering to singles
Leavenworth The Kansas Chapter of Singles in Agriculture will have a multistate Christmas Party next week in Leavenworth, and area singles are invited to attend.
The event will include two nights of dining and dancing, Dec. 12-13, at the Heritage Center, 109 Delaware in downtown Leavenworth.
A buffet dinner catered by Santa Fe Depot Diner will be served each night. There also will be dancing to country-western music by the Rowdy Boys.
Cost is $27 for the dinner and dance each night. The dance only cost is $12.
Reservations for dinner are required and can be made by calling Eleanor Zuvanich at (913) 865-2552.
A patriotic-themed dance is planned for Friday night with special recognition given to men and women who have served in the armed forces. There will be opportunity to contribute to Project Patriot, which supports those service members who are hospitalized in Germany. On Saturday night there will be a Christmas Ball.
Singles in Agriculture is a nationwide organization with members in 41 states. The purpose of SIA is to provide social, educational and recreational activities for singles with an agricultural background or occupation. The Kansas Chapter of SIA has more than 65 members and plays host to a variety of activities each year. This organization plays host to regional and national activities throughout the calendar year.
