Real estate business to aid Harvesters

December 11, 2008

A real estate firm in the metro area is lending a hand in efforts to restock the Harvesters’ food bank.

Graham-Welch & Associates is helping Harvesters by having donation stations at its communities in the Kansas City area. The real estate firm’s sales centers will serve as drop off locations for canned goods to benefit Harvesters. In addition, a major promotional ad campaign has been dedicated to help Harvesters through a Graham-Welch & Associates Holiday Homes Tour through Dec. 30.

The goal is to fill a large moving truck with food and deliver it to Harvesters in late December.

For the last 29 years, Harvesters has served as a clearinghouse for the collection and distribution of food and related household products throughout the metro area.

Graham-Welch & Associates has incorporated Harvesters donation stations at 18 of their communities in the Kansas City area. At these donation stations, Graham-Welch homeowners, prospective buyers and the public-at-large can contribute to Harvesters and enjoy the Holiday Homes Tour.

“We should all do our part to help area residents going through hard times … this is the true spirit of the Holidays,” said Kent Welch, president Graham-Welch & Associates.
