Baptists hold class

Bonner Springs Baptist Church will be offering a financial class called "Managing Our Finances God's Way" from Crown Financial Ministries that will begin on Wednesday, Feb.13, and continue every other Wednesday evening.

There are children's activities and a nursery offered for children of the study's participants. Contact Pastor Bud Jones at 441-1454 for more information.

Kiwanis Club

Dr. Lois Book, Providence Medical Center, was the featured speaker at the regular meeting of the Edwardsville Kiwanis Club held last week at Sister's Resaurant. She discussed diabetes and answered questions from Kiwanis Club members. Ray Bailey was program chairperson for the week.

Knights fish fries

The Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart Catholic Church will begin weekly fish dinners for lent on Fridays Feb. 8.

The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus Council Lenten Fish Fry will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. through March 14. The menu will include fish, macaroni and cheese, and the ever-popular hot cross buns, plus a new addition for this year, smoked salmon.

Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $4 for children, and children under 4 are free. Contact the parish office at (913) 422-5700 for more information.
