Library challenges patrons to ‘Read 100 stories’
Lansing Community Library is challenging its patrons to "Read 100 Stories" during the two-month period that began Tuesday, Feb. 19 and runs through National Library Week, which is April 13 through 19.
To participate in the program, register in the library and receive a story log. Then check out books from our selection of story collections and record the stories you read on your story log.
When you complete a story log, you may add one "book" to our story tower. For each "book" you add to our tower, you will receive one ticket for the prize drawing.
All story logs must be returned to the library by noon Saturday, April 19.
The prize drawing will be conducted just before closing that day, and winners will be notified by telephone.
The library plays host to a weekly story-time at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays. Story-time includes theme-based stories along with a game, craft or other activity. Story-time is geared for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome to participate.
Lansing Community Library hours of operation are: 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
