Pelzel-Scheidt vows exchanged Dec. 22, 2007
Kimberly Ann Pelzel of Frontenac, Kan., and Colby Blake Scheidt of Bonner Springs were married on a beautiful, snowy Dec. 22, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church in Leavenworth. The Rev. Mark Meinke, a family friend, conducted the ceremony. A festive country western-Christmas themed reception followed at the Riverfront Community Center in downtown Leavenworth.
Parents of the couple are Theresa Cass of Frontenac, Kan., and Keith and Wendy Scheidt of Bonner Springs. Grandparents of the bride are the late Ray & Margherita Edwards. Grandparents of the groom are Edna Lange and the late Leonard Lange and Alena Mae Scheidt and the late Otto Scheidt, Jr.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Derrick Pelzel. Matron of honor was Sara Foland, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Scheidt, sister of the groom; Melissa Wiseman, friend of the couple; and Amanda Kukovich, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Kaitlynn Pelzel, daughter of the bride. Best Man was Patrick Wilson, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Bobby Schwartzman, Josh Bosley and Jason Moore, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Zachary Foland, friend of the bride. Ushers were Kelly McKenzie, friend of the groom, and Josh Hall, friend of the bride.
The couple are graduates of Pittsburg State University. She is employed by Jenny Craig and he is employed by Walsh Construction, Chicago, Illinois.
Following a honeymoon in the Colorado Rockies, the couple is at home in Crown Point, Ind.
