Gold Dust tourney comes to Dub’s Dread

Entries are now being accepted for the first Gold Dust Two-Ball Championship to be contested at Dub's Dread Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24.

A two-person, 36-hole stroke event, each golfer will play his or her own ball with only the low ball counted in scoring. Scoring will be determined totally on handicaps and is open only to golfers with a GHIN handicap as used by the U.S. Golf Association.

First place will receive $400, with $250 for second, $150 for third, $125 for fourth and $75 for fifth. Prizes, which will be awarded as gift certificates, are based on 50 players and will be larger with a full field of 100.

The cost for entry is $120 per player and includes green and cart fees and lunch for both days along with prizes. Entry forms are available online at and can be returned to or faxed to 913-721-1354. They may also be mailed with payment, phone number, e-mail address and GHIN handicap to Dub's Dread Golf Club, 12601 Hollingsworth Road, Kansas City, KS., 66109.
