Participants of the 2nd Annual Motorcycle Ride for Veterans head north on 155th Street toward the Basehor Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Saturday afternoon. The 109-mile fundraiser for the VFW enticed about 40 riders, who were treated to a free meal, music and prizes at the post at the conclusion of the ride. Chamber seeking citizen nominees

Buoyed by a staunch defense and a clutch kicking game, the Greater Kansas City Kansas High School All-Stars manhandled their counterparts from the Missouri side on their way to a 20-9 victory in the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association MO-KAN All-Star Game on Thursday night at Blue Valley District Activities Center.
