Kiwanis honors high school scholars

Thursday was busy for the Edwardsville Kiwanis Club. Larry Berg was master of ceremonies for the Kiwanis Club scholarship program at Sister's Restaurant. The club honored its scholarship winners: Ashlee Espinoza, Chelsea Simmons, Ian Briggs, Michael Cooper, Joe Sullivan and Zach Holder.
Following the regular meeting, volunteers went to Kansas City, Kan., to help the United Way move material for its annual banquet to Reardon Hall. Volunteers assisting were Tom Cooley, Shane Lillich, Ken Tewell, Francis Shafer, Al Ramirez, Woody Berry and Clausie Smith
