Library grand opening

• The Basehor Community Library will present its Grand Opening Celebration on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, at its new location, 1400 N. 158th St.
• Friday, May 9: Festivities will run from 7 to 10 p.m. and feature a ribbon-cutting at 7:30 p.m., guest speakers including special guest, Kansas State Librarian Christie Brandau, along with hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and live music.
• Saturday, May 10: Family Day will feature free food, games, prizes and entertainment for the whole family from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A ribbon cutting will be at 10 a.m.
