Area girls soccer teams learned their postseason fate on Saturday when the Class 5-1A regional bracket was released.

Maranatha Academy (0-14) is the No. 18 seed and will play No. 7 De Soto (8-6-2) at 3:15 p.m. Monday at De Soto.

In other first-round action, No. 9 Basehor-Linwood (7-8-1) will play No. 16 Bonner Springs (2-11) at 5 p.m. Monday at Basehor.

Mill Valley and St. James Academy both earned first-round byes and will get into the action Tuesday.

Mill Valley nabbed the No. 3 seed with a 12-3 record. It will play host to either Immaculata (5-7-1) or Tonganoxie (5-10) at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mill Valley High School.

St. James, the No. 4 seed and 12-3-1 overall, will play the Bonner Springs-Basehor winner at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Mill Valley.

The winners of those second-round games will play in the regional finals at 5 p.m. Thursday at Mill Valley.
