May 22, 2008
Next week, the George Meyn Center will play host to an event that should appeal to fans of wine, art and the YMCA.
The 2008 Cooldown, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Center in Wyandotte County Park, is the first fundraiser of its kind for the Bonner Springs YMCA, and will feature wine tasting of more than 100 wines from around the world, a silent art auction and live music performed by Danny McGaw.
Tickets to the 2008 Cooldown are $35 and are available from Matchette Liquors, at Kansas Highway 7 and Johnson Drive, or by calling YMCA Mission Campaign co-chairs Bryan Albers at (913) 980-7762 or Jeff Harrington at (913) 422-4074.
