Model train display coming to library
November is National Model Train month and the Basehor Community Library is celebrating in a big way.
From noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, the downstairs Community Room at the library will have a large working model train display courtesy of the Heartland N-Trak Club of Greater Kansas City.
Members of the club will be on hand to monitor the trains, answer questions and share their enthusiasm for model trains. The members bring their own modules, which attach together to create a huge model train display. The main goal of their club is to promote model railroading and have fun while doing it.
This display is free and open to the public.
