High school prepares musical
The Basehor-Linwood High School drama department will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” this weekend as its first musical production of the 2008-09 school year.
Show times are 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, and Saturday, Nov. 15. A matinee performance is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16. All performances will be in the BLHS auditorium.
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” chronicles the life of Joseph, a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. When news of Joseph’s gift to interpret dreams reaches the Pharaoh, Joseph is well on his way to becoming second in command.

Drama instructor Rebecca Knowles is directing the BLHS production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
Tickets cost $5 for adults and $4 for students and can be purchased at the BLHS office or at the door.
