City lists official hours for trick-or-treaters
Trick-or-treating in Lansing is limited to the hours of 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, according to Lansing law enforcement officials.
Police are encouraging parents to discuss safety procedures with their children and to make sure youngsters are wearing some type of reflective item on their clothing or costume prior to going out after dark. Police also recommend using a flashlight to make trick-or-treaters easier to see.
Motorists are also asked to be even more aware of pedestrians on Halloween night. Allow extra time to get to your destination.
