Book series coming to library
Bonner Springs City Library will play host to a three-part book series featuring Native American mysteries. The series is part of the Kansas Humanities Council's "Talk About Literature in Kansas" series, and will feature books integrating mystery plots with Native American history and culture, including the habits, speech, manners, folklore and religions found in different locales.
Discussions on books, which are available at the library for checkout, will be at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the library, in the lower level of the Community Center, 200 E. Third St. The books to be discussed are:
¢ "DreadfulWater Shows Up" by Hartley Goodweather, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16, with discussion led by Denise Low.
¢ "Dance Hall of the Dead," by Tony Hillerman 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21, with discussion led by Sandra Wiechert
¢ "The Ghost Walker," by Margaret Coel, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18, with discussion led by Erin Pouppirt
