Hill wins mayoral race; Zamora takes school board

Basehor City Council member Terry Hill earned the most votes in the mayoral election. Hill received 247 votes, while city council president Iris Dysart received 220 votes.

H&R Block attorney Richard Zamora took the lead in the Basehor-Linwood School Board election with 266 votes. Zamora will serve on the board in Position 5. LeRoy Scharnhorst came in second with 229 votes, followed by Leigh Farris with 158 votes.
