As if setting a school record in the high jump on Thursday wasn’t enough, Basehor-Linwood junior Bobby Courtney continued his stellar week Saturday with the BLHS golf team at the Osawatomie Invitational.

Courtney had one of his best rounds of the season as he fired an 80 and placed seventh out of 105 players at the tournament.

KCC won the team title with a 316, Hayden finished second at 328 and Ottawa placed third with 333. BLHS shot a 358.

On Tuesday, Courtney finished in sixth place at the Atchison Invitational. He was tied for fourth with a 79 at the end of the round but ended up sixth after a playoff.

Again, Kansas City Christian’s Lambert won the tournament, this time with a 72. Parker Miller of Bonner Springs was the runner-up with a 74 and Nathan McKenzie of KCC was third with a 78.

Chris Douglas added an 86 for BLHS and Toon Dejong fired an 89.
