Miller tallies third top-three finish of the season for Bonner Springs
For the third time this season, Bonner Springs golfer Parker Miller has turned in a top-three finish.
Miller placed second at the Atchison Invitational on Tuesday and led the Braves to a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams.
Miller fired a 74 for the day. Kansas City Christian’s Joe Lambert was the tournament champion with a 72.
Previously, Miller tallied a third-place finish at the Mill Valley Invitational on April 8 when he shot an 82 at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in Spring Hill. Teammate Steven Shores took second with an 80 at that tournament.
Miller’s other top-three finish came at the Sunflower Hills Invitational on April 4 at Sunflower Hills Golf Course. He placed second at that tournament — his first of the season — with an 85.
A steady stream of thunderstorms have limited the Braves’ opportunities to play this season as they have battled numerous cancellations. The Braves are slated to play at 3 p.m. Monday at the Washington Invitational at Painted Hills Golf Course.
