Paternal grandparents are Dr. Jack and Cherie Jewett, St. Joseph, Mo. Great-grandparent is Ruth Jewett, St. Joseph, Mo.
- Angela Verdict and Fausto Picazo announce the birth of their twins, Miguel Angel and Gabriela Elizabeth, born July 5, 2009. Miguel weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces and Gabriela weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Tony Verdict and Sally Clark, of Bonner Springs. Paternal grandparents are Carlos Picazo Cruz and Amelia Perez Cruz, of Mexico.
- Michael A. Verdict and Sara R. Sawyer announce the birth of their daughter Natalie Hope Verdict, born on July 13, 2009. Natalie weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 18 inches long. Paternal grandparents are Tony Verdict and Sally Clark, of Bonner Springs. Maternal grandparents are Frank and Mary Sawyer, of Kansas City. She will be welcomed home by big brothers, Riley and Ethan.
