- Scott and Laura Wyckoff announce the birth of their son, Gavin Scott, on Sept. 15, 2009. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Mitch and Amelia Whisman of Bonner Springs. Paternal grandparents are Kirk and Connie Wyckoff of Parsons. Great-grandmother is Myrtle Stewart of New Port, N.C.
- Jeff and Lynsey James, of Gardner, announce the birth of their daughter, Natalie Anne James, born Sept. 23, 2009, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Ron and Janis Newton, of Linwood. Paternal grandparents are Rusty and Caprice James, of Grain Valley, Mo. Natalie was welcomed home by her older brother, Tyler James.
