BLHS boys stay perfect in KVL
February 4, 2009
Four Basehor-Linwood boys basketball players scored in double figures as the Bobcats rolled past Tonganoxie on Tuesday, 81-59.
BLHS opened the game on a 13-0 run and never looked back.
Chandler Schaake was the first Bobcat to score, draining a jumper, and his bucket was followed by a barrage of points in the paint, a recurring theme on the night. Ryan Murphy converted a 3-point play inside and Clint Schierbaum scored down low three straight times before Schaake hit a baseline jumper to put the Bobcats up 13.
The Bobcats cruised the rest of the way and improved to 11-2 overall and 6-0 in the Kaw Valley League.
