Basehor boys blow out Turner
Basehor-Linwood senior Chandler Schaake scored 21 points and led the Bobcats to a 58-26 victory over Turner on Friday.
With the victory, Basehor-Linwood earned its first victory in a Kaw Valley League game, moving to 3-2 on the season overall.
Schaake was the team’s only player to score in double figures as it featured a balanced scoring attack in the game.
Coach Mike McBride was able to play a lot of players in the game because of the wide margin in the score.
Basehor-Linwood led 24-16 at halftime and outscored Turner 18-4 in the third quarter to take a commanding 42-20 lead entering the fourth quarter.
A complete story on Friday’s game will be included in next week’s Basehor Sentinel.
