KCKCC to offer girls basketball camps
Two summer basketball camps for girls will be offered at Kansas City Kansas Community College Monday through Thursday, July 20-23.
An offensive skills clinic open to girls in the eighth through 11th grades will be from 9 a.m. to noon each day followed by a fundamentals clinic for girls in the third through seventh grades from 1-4 p.m. in the KCKCC Field House on the College campus at 7250 State Ave.
Valerie Stambersky, who just completed her 10th year as head KCKCC women’s coach, and five-year assistant Alicia Roth will provide the instruction with assistance from current and former Blue Devil athletes.
The cost is $60 for each clinic for girls enrolled by Thursday, July 16. The cost will increase to $70 after July 16. Each participant is responsible for furnishing basketball or running shoes, practice clothes, towel and water bottles and also must have parents or guardians complete and turn in registration and medical release forms.
