Providence schedules open house
Providence Medical Center will play host to a community open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 27, to celebrate the opening of new state-of-the-art facilities.
The event will feature tours of the new Charles and Antoinette Berkel Emergency Services Department, the Breast Center, Intensive Care Unit and a patient unit. In addition to the tours, there will be health screenings and information, learning and play activities for children, entertainment, prizes and free lunch for all guests.
Hospital officials said they were collaborating with leading health, fitness, sports, education and entertainment organizations, including the Providence YMCA / Ball Family Center, Wonderscope Children’s Museum, the University of Saint Mary, the Kansas City Wizards, T-Rex and Great Wolf Lodge, to create an exciting atmosphere for attendees.
Guests will have a chance to win door prizes such as tickets to T-Bones and Wizards games, passes to Schlitterbahn, complimentary three-month memberships to the YMCA and more.
The event takes place on the north side of the Providence campus, 8929 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan. Guests should park in Lot D. Courtesy shuttles will be available to transport visitors from the parking area to the event site.
