The Basehor-Linwood boys basketball team is ranked No. 1 in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association's preseason rankings.
The Bobcats are the defending Class 4A state champions.
BLHS is ranked ahead of No. 2 Ottawa — which the Bobcats beat in the state semifinals last year, No. 3 Topeka Hayden, No. 4 Sumner Academy and No. 5 St. James Academy.
Meanwhile, the Basehor-Linwood girls are ranked No. 5 in the Class 4A girls poll. Cheney is the No. 1 team, followed by Concordia, Hayden and Holton.
