Museum plans Christmas event

The Basehor Historical Museum Society will play host to a vintage Christmas open house Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can meet Santa, take carriage rides, as well as sample sugarplums, plum pudding, hard tac and pork rinds, Wassail and many other historic Christmas treats. Guests will also be able to view a sleigh from the 1800s, hear stories about Christmas during the Civil War and learn about several other historic Christmas traditions.
