10 Years Ago (Oct. 28, 1999)

The Bonner Springs Convention and Tourism committee was initiating a study of Bonner Springs’ image.

Debbie Dearinger announced plans for the annual Basehor Crafts Festival. In conjunction with the event, the Basehor Kiwanis Club played host to a pancake breakfast.

25 Years Ago (Nov. 1, 1984)

The Bonner Springs High School girls volleyball team won the substate championship and earned a trip to the 5A state tournament.

Michael Wheeler won first place in the first and second grade division of the Chamber of Commerce Halloween window decoration contest. Kelli Courtney was second in the division.

50 Years Ago (Oct. 29, 1959)

Netta Gillhamed was crowned Bonner Springs High School homecoming queen.

Mrs. Hugh Ferguson started work at the Commercial State Bank. Her husband was high school music director.

100 Years Ago (Oct. 28, 1909)

A small crowd attended a fundraising concert sponsored by Bonner Springs High School. Only about $25 was raised.
