Leppke leads Bobcats to 49-0 rout of SFT

Basehor-Linwood quarterback Brandon Leppke was in control against Santa Fe Trail on Friday.

He passed for a touchdown, ran for a touchdown and returned a punt for a score.

When it was over, the four-year starter at quarterback had amassed more than 400 yards in the game. He finished with 14 carries for 171 yards and three touchdowns.

While passing, he completed eight of 15 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Leppke rushed for a 54-yard touchdown on the third play of the game. He rushed for a 44-yard touchdown later in the quarter.

Later in the quarter, he connected on a touchdown pass to Ryan Murphy.

In the second half, Leppke tossed another touchdown to Colin Murphy.

Later in the game, Ryan Murphy went into the game and tossed a 9-yard touchdown pass to Logan Ross.

Basehor-Linwood also pitched a shutout in the game.

“It was a great team victory,” coach Steve Hopkins said. “We had solid play on both sides of the ball tonight.”
