Late registrations accepted for Race for the Cure

Late registrations are being accepted for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, which begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo., and raises money for breast cancer research.
Cost to participate as a timed runner is $35 per person for the 5K race or $30 for an untimed walker. In addition, a “sleep in for the cure” option is available for those unable to make it to the run or wake up early. That costs $30.
Packet pickups are being done this week, and late registration may be done in person at the pickup locations.
