Lee Newton Memorial Golf Scramble scheduled

The Lee Newton Memorial Charity Four-Person Golf Scramble and Putting Contest has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Sunflower Hills Golf Course.
The event is sponsored by the Bonner Springs Lions Club, and proceeds go to benefit eye exams and eyeglasses for underprivileged children.
Cost is $75 per person, and corporate sponsorships are available for $200. Team registration begins at noon along with the putting contest, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
Registration closes Oct. 1.
