Museum opening exhibit
Opening Feb. 25 at the Basehor Historical Museum, 2812 155th St., is its newest exhibit “Kansas: Land of Literature,” sponsored by the Basehor Citizens Savings and Loan.
This exhibit looks at Kansas literature and authors from territorial day to the present. From newspapers, to tall tales, to cowboy poetry and the forming of libraries across the state, this exhibit explores many aspects of literature in the sunflower state.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
