Murphy twins power Bobcats past Braves
Basehor-Linwood overcame a sluggish start and got 13 first-half points from sophomore Colin Murphy and his brother Ryan added 10 of his own to take a commanding lead, 37-21, into the locker room at halftime Friday night at Bonner Springs.
Ryan Murphy ended up with 17 points, and Colin Murphy finished with 18.
Basehor fell behind 6-2 early on the power of two Bonner 3-point baskets, but the Murphy twins would quickly counter with 10 straight points.
The Bobcats (6-2) dominated the inside on both sides of the ball, pummeling the Braves (1-7) with layups and put-backs, on their way to a 65-46 victory.
