Basehor-Linwood planning pep rally for softball team

The Basehor-Linwood softball team celebrates on the infield after beating Mulvane, 5-2, to win the Class 4A softball state championship on Saturday in Salina. The Bobcats finished the season with a 24-2 record and won the first state title in a girls sport in school history.

A pep rally in honor of the Basehor-Linwood High School 4A state softball championship team will take place at 7 p.m. today, June 21, at the high school gymnasium.

The championship marked the second state athletic title in Basehor-Linwood history and the first girls state title.

The public is invited to attend to recognize the team’s accomplishments.
